Where can one work at his computer and watch live MLB baseball in February? Answer: on the “Space Coast” of Florida!
Some of you are living in the cold, some of you are caged in an office, some of you are languishing in the boredom of your jobs. I, however, am watching–by the grace of my wife (first and foremost!) and the graciousness of my brother (who works for the Nationals)–the Nationals and Tigers play the first home game of Spring training for the Nationals.
Come on in “boys,” the water is fine. 
Dinner is on you brother!

I am envious that you are in the USA! and watching live baseball! I am stuck out here in the Arabian desert. Wednesday a friend from church and I went camping overnight in the desert – giant sand dunes as far as you could see – we camped by the inland sea which is an arm of the Persian Gulf (they call it the Arabian Gulf here) and we could look across the water at rock formations and Saudi Arabia on the other side. We even went swimming as it was in the mid 80s. It is interesting but still does not compare with camping in the Appalachian mountains. AS I recall you have spent some time in the mountains.
Hope the Nationals have a good season. The Senators rarely did.

There was a unanimous groan among the ladies Wednesday evening when I mentioned baseball and spring training. We were in the kitchen preparing our Wonderful Wednesday meal (my job pots and pans). The ladies were talking spring and the first thing that popped into my head was baseball. The doctors say I’ll be out of the hospital within a week. Just kidding ladies!
Nationals? Oh, they are just the pretext. Baseball is the real joy, not who is playing. And I would not expect Germans like Markus (I luv though!) to understand.
Randall, camping among the dunes and swimming in that beauty would appear to have its own special joys. Thanks for the picture.
