Psalm 32 – Derek: Meditating on the Way
God covers our sin when we don’t cover it up. God takes away our sin even when we are burdened with its guilt. God does not count our sin against us when we confess it.
Psalm 32 is the testimony of one who left the path of God and was overwhelmed by the torrents of evil and rebellion but remembered that God is merciful and submitted again to God’s guidance.
Israel experienced God’s forgiveness. It rejoiced in God’s deliverance. And the Psalmist invites all God’s hasid–the ones who have received mercy and practice mercy–to rejoice in God’s mercy (hesed).
